On a sunny Sunday, May 11th, our youth group came together for a beautification project at VietAID. With gardening gloves on and shovels in hand, we planted colorful flowers that brought life and color to the community space. As we handed out flower plants to community members, we were met with smiles and gratitude, reminding us of the impact small acts of kindness can have.
After a fulfilling afternoon of planting and giving, we wrapped up the day by hanging out at our favorite snack spot, sharing laughs and reflecting on how such simple activities can bring people closer together. This project was more than just planting flowers – it was about nurturing connections, fostering a sense of belonging, and leaving a positive mark on the community we love.
Stay tuned for more youth-led projects as we continue to spread positivity and make a difference, one small act at a time.
Boston, April 13th 2025 - Cloudy skies could not dim the joy of our Easter celebration on Sunday, as Vietnamese children with disabilities and their families in Boston areas gathered for a fun-filled egg hunt bursting with laughter, energy, and connection.
Our children dashed across the hall with baskets in hand, eyes bright with excitement as they discovered colorful eggs hidden around the hall. Laughter echoed through the air, smiles stretched wide, and every joyful moment was shared with friends and family. We danced along to music, took cheerful photos with the Easter Bunny, and discovered fun surprises tucked inside each egg. Together, we celebrated more than a holiday - we celebrated inclusion, connection, and the happiness of every child.
We’re deeply grateful to all the families who joined us, and a heartfelt thank-you to VietAID and VACA for their support in making this event possible
We are honored to have been invited by the Massachusetts Appleseed Center for Law and Justice and the Mass Speaks Coalition to speak at the recent legislative briefing in support of the Language Access and Inclusion Bill (HD.3876/SD.1757).
Alongside powerful voices like Representative Adrian Madaro, Senator Sal DiDomenico, and Representative Carlos Gonzalez, we shared our community’s experiences and emphasized the urgent need for equitable access to state services for all residents - regardless of language.
We encourage you to take action today by urging your legislator to support this important bill. Together, we can break down longstanding language barriers to essential programs like SNAP, MassHealth, and Unemployment Assistance. Support Here
