The Circle of Vietnamese Parents are honored and grateful to have received generous funding from the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC). This grant supports our dedicated efforts to assist Vietnamese-speaking families during their children's critical transition from Early Intervention (EI) services to public school systems in Massachusetts.
This important partnership enables us to address key challenges Vietnamese families face, including language barriers, cultural differences, and navigating the complexities of special education systems.
Our project provides culturally and linguistically tailored support through bilingual resources, direct assistance from experienced cultural brokers, and ongoing workshops and training. With the support of MDDC, we have established a robust bilingual online library, facilitated community-driven emotional support groups, and organized regular training sessions. Our goal is to empower parents with essential knowledge and advocacy skills, ensuring they are active participants in their children's educational journeys.
